Mrs. Sanders' s Class
Rural Vale School
Our Week at a Glance.....
April 6- April 10 Reading: The Dot p.14 Phonics: Base words with endings -ed and -ing, and long e spelling pattern y, ie Language Arts: Exclamations! Math: 2 digit addition/ addition with regrouping and subtraction facts. There is ONE math homework sheet this week. The completed sheet is due back on Friday April 10th. Please make sure your child brings this back on that day! Most all students have moved into addition with regrouping. This is a skill that we have to practice continually. SAT 10 PREPARATIONS HAS COMMENCED IN FULL FORCE! April 27th- May 1st Assessment SAT 10. WE have 3 full weeks to prepare! That is 15 days. Attendance and being on time to school is critical in the month of April. I don't want to miss out on anything they need to be prepared for the test. May 8th K-2 Aquarium field trip ( More information at a later date.) Please make sure you are still practicing all words on the word rings at home. I realize there are a lot of words on the ring. You may break it into parts so you don't have to do so many in one night. I am noticing some students forgetting words on the rings, because they haven't practiced them as often as they were at the beginning of the year. We received new Behavior Calendars and Reading Logs Monday. REMEMBER: Both need to be filled out EVERYDAY! I have noticed several logs have not been signed at all. Your signing lets me know that you are seeing your child's daily behavior, and are reading at home every day. |
A Letter From Mrs. SandersPLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK BEHAVIOR CALENDARS AND SIGN READING LOGS EVERY DAY! |
